#1 – Ductwork is necessary for central air conditioning

If you live in an older home that lacks space for ducts, you don’t have to depend on an inefficient series of window units for comfort. #2 – Turning the thermostat down lower will cool a home faster
This is one of the ways that homeowners frequently end up wasting money on air conditioning over the summer. Dropping the thermostat down to the lowest possible setting will not make the air conditioner work faster, it will only make it keep the compressor running longer to reach the set temperature, which is a large energy drain that will result in a home that’s too cold. It is far better, both for your comfort and your utility bills, to find a comfortable mid-range temperature and stick with it.
#3 – Air conditioning systems only need maintenance every few years
Like any mechanical device that does a large amount of work, an air conditioning system must have routine maintenance to keep it in the best shape possible, for the longest time possible. When you consider how much your home’s AC runs during a summer, you’ll realize that it takes more than a maintenance visit every couple of years to prevent it from rapidly wearing down. You should schedule maintenance annually, preferably during the spring, to help ensure that your cooling system reaches its full potential lifespan and experiences few repair issues or efficiency problems.
